There is also the opportunity for candidates to combine working in a care home and as a theatre nurse). This option is ideal for candidates whose level of English is not yet suitable to work full time as a theatre nurse or whose theatre experience is limited.
The candidate can take a full time position as a nurse in a care home. When the candidate feels ready they can register to work as an agency nurse and can use their holiday or paid leave to work in theatre positions on a locum (temporary) basis. This will enable the candidate to maintain their theatre nursing skills, provide them with the opportunity to earn more money and may allow the candidate to seek a permanent post in the National Health Service at a later date.

We are looking for doctors with experience in the following fields
Requirements:
There are many work opportunities (locum and permanent) throughout the UK, both in state (NHS) and private hospitals (RMO work).
Locum and permanent positions in all specialties are available at NHS hospitals, but at present the largest demand is in areas such as anaesthetics, intensive care, A&E, general surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, internal medicine, cardiology, radiology and psychiatry.
Most consultant positions within the NHS (locum or permanent) require previous UK work experience. Specialists who have never worked in the UK before, are therefore advised to work at a lower grade level (e.g. Senior House Offices, Registrar or Specialty Registrar) for a period of 3-6 months to allow them to familiarise themselves with the NHS working conditions. Following this period candidates are generally successful in securing a consultant position (locum or permanent).
Many RMO positions are available in private hospitals throughout the UK. The main requirements for working as an RMO are:
An RMO deals mainly with patients in a pre- and post-operative setting, and works closely with the consultants and the nursing team. There is a particular demand for RMOs with anaesthetic and paediatric experience, but all doctors including non-specialists are welcome.
RMOs generally work 2 weeks per month, and earn between £1,700 - 2,000 per week (depending on experience and hospital). Accommodation and food whilst on duty is provided. Contracts are available for 6-12 months, but there many opportunities for odd weeks of emergency shift work. RMO work is particular
attractive to doctors who wish to continue working or studying in their home country, whilst gaining valuable experience in the UK.
Position Summary
The live-in Home Care Nurse will provide one to one 24 hour care to individuals living in their own homes. This post will involve a program of personal care and household care management that is personalised for each Service User in the form of a Care Plan. Care Staff will adhere to the Code of Conduct at all times.
The Home Care Nurse will work for a number of months (normally 2 – 3 months) in a live-in position in the UK. At the end of this period they will be relieved by another live-in nurse and will be able to return home for a short time if they so wish.
The Home Care Nurse will work on the basis of providing 24 hour care for the client, however in many cases care is not required 24 hours a day. It is expected that the nurse be allowed a non-interrupted night’s sleep and that they are allowed a specified number of hours off per day. If this is not possible due to the client’s care requirements, arrangements will be made to provide alternative cover for the nurse during these times.

Many qualified nurses from EU come to Britain believing that in a very short period of time they can work and earn the salary of a nurse. According to existing EU regulation this is possible. On the other hand this is a lot more complex.
The first hurdle is to be chosen from the relevant, reputable employer, who is in the position to pay good wages, offer good working conditions, career prospects and give you good references for the future.
The second major hurdle is getting the registration from NMC to work as a nurse in the UK. “In the past five years more than 40,000 nurses from the European Union - including former Soviet Bloc countries such as Latvia, Lithuania and Slovakia - applied to work in Britain. But just 270 completed the course, deterred by its cost and difficulty.”
A lot of unsuccessful candidates settled for a low paid job as a health care assistant. Below we have shown the differences in the earnings if you are a fully qualified nurse in your country and after our training course you are placed as a nurse in UK or you settle for work as a health care assistant with unresolved issues on working as a nurse in the UK.
That mean that when attending our training course and start working, you are well prepared, well placed, with sufficient knowledge of language and work practice. This will reduce significantly any potential stress from relocation in a new country and new work environment.
